2024 Europa League

For the fourth time in our history, Ħ’Attard Subbuteo Club participated in the prestigious European Table Football League competition.

 

This edition, which took place in Lisbon in Portugal, was played on Saturday and Sunday 26 and 27 October 2024.

 

After the club reached a historic milestone in the same competition last year when we managed to finish in 15th place, this time Ħ’Attard Subbuteo Club managed to reach the Quarter-Finals, and eventually finished this edition in the 8th place, following the game against the local team Valletta Lions TFC, which ended in a 2-2 draw with Valletta winning the Tie with goal difference.

This is an important success for our small club whose aim is to continue to establish itself further on the local scene as well as internationally.

In the group stage, the team won the games against Moralzarzal SC of Spain, Elan Subbuteo of France and BSC Schawalbach of Germany, while losing to the Italian team TS Napoli Fighters, who eventually reached the final. .

In the last sixteen, another historical victory against Sporting Lisbon of Portugal, to then surrender against the strength of Italy's team of Virtus Rieti in the Quarter Finals.

Participation in this competition was also possible with the help of the financial support schemes granted by SPORTMALTA.

 

The club now will start working for the next competitions in its calendar, namely the National League of Clubs and Major of Frameries in Belgium.
